The Festival of Northern Lights is located downtown Owen Sound and continues at Harrison Park.
After a year off the Owen Sound Holiday Tour of Homes is Back! Get into the holiday spirit by visiting all 7 beautiful decorated locations within and around Owen Sound. After the tour unwind with beverages and treats at the Bayshore while you take in a decor demo or get hands-on with a DIY project to add some holiday cheer to your home.
The Fine Craft Christmas Show features a multitude of mediums including textiles, wood, pottery, jewellery, photography, beauty products, glass, fine foods and more.
Find unique and useful gifts for others (and a little something for yourself!) from independent designers, makers and artists from the region and beyond. As you shop, take the time to meet and interact with the artists and makers to find out the inspiration and ideas behind their one-of-a-kind work.

Downtown Owen Sound comes alive starting at 6 PM with festive carollers, horse-drawn carriage rides throughout downtown and holiday specials at retail shops and restaurants. Many stores extend their hours during First Friday events. Free.
Bring the whole family to Harrison Park for a fun day of activities! There will be wagon rides to Santa’s cottage, cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus, face painting, crafts, petting zoo, pony rides, games, firetrucks, and Festival Food (hot dogs and chili).
This event is a truly unique holiday experience for all ages and has become a well-loved annual tradition. The museum and historic buildings of Moreston Heritage Village will be open and dressed in seasonal decor. The event features: free horse drawn sleigh rides around the village, traditional live Christmas music and sing-along carols, seasonal cookies in the Log House, and holiday films playing in the theatre all night. 4 PM – 8 PM on both dates. Cost: standard museum admission rates; free for Grey Roots members.
Ring in the New Year with the family at the City’s annual New Year’s Eve Celebration with an early countdown and many special activities for families with children 12 and under. 5 PM – 8 PM at the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre. By donation.
